In my anagramming of people’s names I found some who included the word ‘bugger’.
Now the word has some differing meanings depending on the context. As Wikipedia says
Bugger or buggar can at times be considered as a mild swear word. In the United Kingdom the term has been used commonly to imply dissatisfaction, refer to someone or something whose behaviour is in some way inconvenient or perhaps as an expression of surprise. In the United States, particularly in the Midwest and South, it is an inoffensive slang term meaning "small animal".
From

Of course bugs are insects so a bugger might be taken to mean in some quarters someone who studies them, an entomologist.
And then there are those who place electronic bugs as surveillance equipment.
Wikipedia explains the derivation thus:
It is derived from Anglo-Norman bougre, from Latin Bulgarus, in reference to Bulgaria, from which the Bogomils, a sect labeled by church authorities as heretics, were thought to have come in the 11th century, after other "heretics" to whom abominable practices were imputed in an abusively disparaging manner. (The word Bogomil itself is not etymologically related.)
The word bugger also relates to sodomy, anal sex between men, sodomy being derived from Sodom of biblical infamy.
Anyway, here are some ‘buggers’ I found.
George Bush, father and son
Both were president during two wars against Iraq when Saddam Hussein was in power.
‘bugger’ is not the longest single word anagram but they can be
- hoes bugger
- hose bugger
- shoe bugger
Which makes the mind boggle. In event we can say
- So he bugger
Father is also a Herbert, but if we check the shared full names, George Walker Bush, we can have
- oh sleek war bugger
Like father, like son then.
Guy Burgess
Guy Francis de Moncy Burgess (16 April 1911 – 30 August 1963) was a British diplomat and Soviet double agent, and a member of the Cambridge Five spy ring that operated from the mid-1930s to the early years of the Cold War era.
From

The two longest single word anagrams are ‘buggers’ and ‘buggery’. We can get
- USS buggery
- bugger Susy
He was a homosexual. Perhaps this is not surprising.
In fact as a Soviet double agent this is most suitable from his full name.
- cissy comrades funny bugger
Pete Buttigeig
Peter Paul Montgomery Buttigieg, U.S. politician who served as the 19th United States secretary of transportation from 2021 to 2025 as part of Joe Biden’s cabinet.
We can get this from Peter Buttigeig.
- it petite bugger
Petite might be pushing it, but he is not so tall and relatively slim.
And he is a homosexual. So a descriptive anagram.
Greta Thunberg

A Swedish environmental activist. There are various phrases.
- then art bugger
- then rat bugger
- her attn bugger
- earth NT bugger
- hat rent bugger
But perhaps the best is
- the rant bugger
Here is she at her finest.

Robert Mugabe
Robert Gabriel Mugabe, his full name, was a Zimbabwean revolutionary and politician who served as Prime Minister of Zimbabwe from 1980 to 1987 and then as President from 1987 to 2017.
See
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Mugabe
We have to use his full name to find the word ‘bugger’ but we can get
- am be liberator bugger
As he was seen as a liberator for many this is appropriate.
- I am late bugger robber
The word ‘late’ is used of someone who has died. As he apparently had a vast wealth at the time of his death this is also suitable.

Summary and final thoughts
There you have a few buggers. Perhaps they may have been programmed by their names for what they were or are. Your thoughts are welcome.
P.S. I have done a post on Greta Thunberg for those who haven’t yet seen.

Quite ingenious indeed.
Absolutely hilarious. Scary how apt they come out! I dread to think what mine would reveal!
