Chris Hipkins, 41st prime minister of New Zealand and leader of the New Zealand Labour Party
By Baldmichael Theresoluteprotector’sson
And here’s the lovely boy, isn’t he cute?
That open smiling face, neat hairdo, not too chubby, what more could you want from your friendly neighbour hood….Sorry, neighbourhood politician.
At age 45 he’s a mere stripling compared to old Baldmichael so you could have him in New Zealand for years and years and wouldn’t that be nice to have a nice chap like him for a long time.
No? Really? You don’t say!
Anyway I gather elections are coming up on the 14th October this year so I thought that now Jacinda ‘The tooth fairy’ Ardern has gone to Harvard (poor USA), I ought to turn my attention to Chris.
So let’s have a look-see at the dear boy. I will use Wikipedia as a basis; text in italics is from this unless otherwise stated. I won’t comment on everything.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chris_Hipkins
I will take a somewhat tongue in cheek approach I think so here goes.
It is long so be warned. Mental indigestion is possible!
Some background information and general overview
In full he is Christopher John Hipkins, born 5 September 1978, and took over from the Great and Glorious Bleeder leader, Jabcinda Hardearn in 2023.
He became a member of parliament for Remutaka in 2008. Apparently according to Google Translate Remutaka means ‘Rheumatism’. =But this link says it means ‘Place to sit’ and describes how a chief took a rest while he was pursuing his wayward wife across the ranges to Wairarapa.
Remutaka correct spelling, says iwi
https://www.stuff.co.nz/dominion-post/9967900/Remutaka-correct-spelling-says-iwi
Perhaps the chief had rheumatism and had to sit down. ‘Rheumatism’ anagrams to ‘uh me a Mr sit’ so perhaps there is something in that.
A bit of a rabbit hole and off main topic but ‘mm this urea’ is another anagram. Perhaps excess urea is a main cause of rheumatism. This link seems to suggest the possibility.

After Jacinda Ardern led Labour to victory in the 2017 general election, Hipkins assumed multiple portfolios within the Sixth Labour Government, serving variously as minister of education, police, the public service, and leader of the House. For his perceived competence within multiple roles and responsibilities, Hipkins became regarded as Labour’s “fixer”.
This is the footnote link
‘The guy just lives for DIY’: What to expect from Prime Minister Chris Hipkins
His perceived competence eh? By those in the Labour party of course. Here are the three people referred to in the article:
Iain Lees-Galloway, a former Labour MP and cabinet ally of Chris Hipkins – resigned due to inappropriate relationship with a staffer (he was married).
Grant Robertson, Labour MP, who was best man at Hipkins’ wedding.
Carmel Sepuloni, now deputy prime minister.
It would have been nice to have had some other views as a balance. But it is Wikipedia so we can’t expect too much.
His tenure as minister of health was widely praised,…
There is no footnote link to back this up so I will go for widely praised by the obese. They are wide after all.
…and he was central to the government’s highly effective response to the COVID-19 pandemic in New Zealand.
‘highly effective response’ with the ‘safe and effective’ vaccines as much as anything. However many people say it was the lockdowns that were effective in seeing how many stupid people lived in New Zealand.
As most people locked themselves down it seems like the majority.
The elimination policy became the primary focus of the 2020 election, helping Labour win in a landslide.
The elimination policy was eliminating the surplus New Zealand population. Looks like it is going quite well.
After the victory, Hipkins took on more responsibility, serving as minister for COVID-19 response from November 2020 to June 2022. On 21 January 2023, Hipkins became the sole candidate to succeed Jacinda Ardern as leader of the Labour Party after she announced her resignation.
The sole candidate as he was the Right sole candidate or ‘R’ sole candidate.
Hipkins is often characterised ideologically as pragmatic.
‘magic prat’ is an anagram of ‘pragmatic and under the circumstances more suitable I feel.
He has emphasised “bread and butter” issues during his premiership, such as combatting the increased cost of living. Some observers see this is a push to retain or regain the support of the centrist swing voters who abandoned National in swathes for Labour in 2020.
Others see it as desperately trying to cover up Labour’s incompetence but I dare say that is fake news.
In July 2023, Labour introduced sweeping welfare initiatives as part of that year’s budget, including a $1 billion Cyclone Recovery plan, a large increase in childcare and parental leave, scrapping prescription co-payments, free public transport for under-13s (and half price for under-25s), and increasing the funding for Te Matatini tenfold.
Sweeping changes are changes designed to sweep the gross/deliberate mistakes under the proverbial carpet.
Early life
Christopher John Hipkins was born (on the 5th September, 1978) and raised in a Wellington in a Hutt. Or vice versa.
He is currently 45 years old.
His early schooling was also in a Hutt in a Water loo. I assume this is a W.C. or water closet. His intermediate schooling was also in a Hutt.
Apparently he was later on in another, presumably bigger, Hutt where he was head boy. How many boys were in the school at the time I can’t say.
His intermediate school has 4 houses. Quite how one can get 4 houses into a Hutt I wouldn’t know, except perhaps it must be a very big Hutt.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hutt_Intermediate_School
In any event he is the first Prime Minster of New Zealand to have been raised in a Hutt, either in or out of a Wellington.
I gather at university he studied Victoria in a Wellington. Or possibly studied Wellington in Victoria.
He was
one of dozens arrested while protesting against the Tertiary Review Green Bill at Parliament. The matter went through the courts, and 10 years later an apology and award of over $200,000 was shared among the 41 protesters. The judge ruled that despite claims by police that the protestors were violent, the protest was peaceful and there were no grounds for arrest.
Today there would be grounds for his arrest (see later). But please don’t take 10 years over it.
Hipkins received a Bachelor of Arts with a major in political science and criminology from Victoria University of Wellington.
Criminology would prove very useful when working with Jacinda Ardern. It is rumoured that a module was entitled ‘Governments: crime and how to get away with it without the public realising’.
He then held a number of jobs (allegedly), including working as a policy advisor for the Industry Training Federation, and as a training manager for Todd Energy in Taranaki.
So nothing useful then. I daresay his criminal past, sorry, criminology past was useful to the employers.
Hipkins also worked in Parliament as an advisor to Trevor Mallard and Helen Clark.
As I said nothing useful then. I have written about Trevor Mallard in a post. If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck, it is Trevor Mallard.
Anyway, that course module I mentioned must have come in handy. If it did happen that is.
Political career
He has been an MP for 15 years since age 29.
His selection was part of Prime Minister Helen Clark’s intention to rejuvenate the party with 29-year-old Hipkins winning against the 54-year-old Chalmers.
As Helen Clark was 58 back in then this was a good idea. The Labour government then in power was defeated in the 2008 election.
Anyway, she gave bushy tailed Chris the chance he needed to prove that the youthful politician can bugger things up as much as the older politician.
There is a footnote link.
https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/youth-beats-experience-to-safe-labour-seat/ULBOSSPKNJI6JRCJIV2F5G6OYQ/
It says
Mr Hipkins, 29, works as a senior adviser to Prime Minister Helen Clark, alongside chief of staff Heather Simpson.
Senior advisor eh? Makes a chap feel good that does.
And wonderfully, ‘senior advisor’ anagrams to ‘I so vise Ardern’. Vise is alternative spelling of vice as in ‘clamp’. No wonder he worked with Jacinda, he was useful in the clampdowns in 2020, a.k.a. lockdowns.
The footnote article continues
He is thought to have had Beehive encouragement.
No doubt he was told to be on his best ‘beehiviour’!
However, the Beehive is this building. See
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beehive_(New_Zealand)
By Ballofstring – Own work, CC BY-SA 4.0, https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=71268975
It says
The Beehive (Māori: Te Whare Mīere) is the common name for the Executive Wing of New Zealand Parliament Building.
It took 12 years to build. I see that
The Beehive’s circular footprint (see rotunda) is generally considered an elegant and distinctive design feature. However it is also quite impractical, as many of its rooms are wedge-shaped, curved or asymmetrical.
and
A survey commissioned by the Reserve Bank of New Zealand found that the Beehive is “a New Zealand icon and as such is readily recognisable”.
So looks good on the outside but otherwise rather useless.
Like Chris Hipkins.
In Opposition, 2008–2017
In May 2010, his Electricity (Renewable Preference) Amendment Bill was drawn from the member’s ballot. The bill would have reinstated a ban on the thermal generation of electricity which had been imposed by the previous Labour Government in September 2008 before being repealed by the incoming National Government in December 2008, but was defeated at its first reading in June.
So looks like he wanted to ban so-called fossil fuels for electricity generation. Great to generate energy that doesn’t pollute, but a good idea to have truly sensible alternatives in place first.
In Hipkins’ second term, he was promoted into Labour’s shadow Cabinet as spokesperson for state services and education under new leader, David Shearer. He also became the Labour Party’s chief whip for the first time.
Many politicians like being whipped I understand. No doubt it gave him good experience for enforcing the lockdowns.
As education spokesperson, Hipkins was outspoken in his opposition to the National Government’s implementation of charter schools in New Zealand and closure of schools in Christchurch following the destructive 2011 earthquake.
Pity he didn’t complain about the lockdown of schools over COVID 19/the ’flu.
But then he was in government so that explains it.
In April 2013, Hipkins voted in favour of the Marriage (Definition of Marriage) Amendment Bill, which legalised same-sex marriage in New Zealand.
The footnote link indicates how MP’s voted.
https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/gay-marriage-how-mps-voted/WLPKK4734FBZEKJIDHBFO4MWFA/
77 for – inc. 27 National, 30 Labour, 14 Green
44 against – inc. 32 National, 4 Labour, 7 NZ First
Ratio 1.75
36 for were ‘list’ candidates (inc. all the Greens)
15 against were ‘list’ candidates (inc. all NZ First)
Ratio 2.4
Anyway, Chris thinks same-sex marriage a good idea. Helps reduce the population growth, although vaccines help too. The eugenicists are not fussy about the methods used to reduce the human cattle as they seem them.
In late 2015, Hipkins received veiled threats, including a death threat, for voicing his concerns about a billboard advertising “cut-price” guns.
His concerns are fair enough. But he does want to support the proxy war in the Ukraine. And will spend taxpayers’ money to do so. The usual hypocrisy.
https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/political/489208/chris-hipkins-announces-new-ukraine-support-package
In Government, 2017–present
As a senior Labour MP, Hipkins was a key figure in the Sixth Labour Government. Between 2017 and 2023, he was the sixth-ranked Government minister from the Labour Party and he was assigned responsibilities as minister of education, minister for the public service and leader of the House.
He was the sixth-ranked means he was the 6th rank Government minister. Rank means ‘offensive in odour or flavour’ among other things. This applies to most politicians nowadays.
He was later looked upon as a “fixer,” and was given additional responsibility as minister of health and minister for COVID-19 response during the COVID-19 pandemic in New Zealand, and later as minister of police during a spate of ram-raids.
He was later looked on as a fixer, especially as minister for health when he encouraged people to get their ‘fix’, i.e. their extra special vaccine, preferably supplied by ‘Pfixer’ (sic).
He took on the additional burden of minister for health as he enjoys a healthy diet such as sausage rolls and Coke Zero. Yum!
What is in the sausage rolls I wouldn’t know. I hope they don’t put sodium nitrite in the one’s he eats.
As for Coke Zero this will contain artificial sweeteners which are neuro-toxic and harmful.
There are a couple of foot note links which give more information on him. There’s this
He is a keen cyclist and cycles to work. Good for him, I did too as much as I could.
But he was responsible for this arrogance I gather.
And it was Hipkins who first described the 1pm pandemic briefings as the “one source of truth”.
Pride comes before a fall Chris. And the pandemic briefings promoted lies, lies and more lies. That makes you a liar whether you knew it or not.
The second link. Paste into browser to make work.
https://www.1news.co.nz/2023/01/21/from-spreading-legs-to-a-savoury-love-who-is-chris-hipkins/
He told New Zealanders to spread their legs. As others dryly point out this has unfortunate connotations. If you are in the UK you may know the phrase “Lie back and think of England”.
It says
In that profile, it said Hipkins “passionately believes that every New Zealander deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential in life.”
Subject to their vaccination status. No jab, no job.
Still, people who had the jab may wish to point out that being maimed by toxic shots will limit their potential for life, let alone their lifespan.
That link says
Millions of New Zealand workers will soon be covered by mandates to be vaccinated against Covid-19, or potentially be forced to leave their jobs.
They include in education and the health and disability sectors, both in which workers are required to have had their first jab by Monday, with reports thousands of people may walk away from their jobs.
One way of reducing public sector workers, although it would mean only the stupid or fearful remain to take their chances with Russian roulette shots.
And, oh, the irony of the disability sector where the poison shots will maim and add to the sectors numbers.
Back to the ‘spreading legs’ link it says
“She’s (Jacinda Ardern) well and truly earned a break and some quality family time. New Zealand is a better country for having had Jacinda as our leader, she has truly made a difference.”
I think everyone can agree with “made a difference”. Broken and divided the country, yep, made a big difference.
Chris Hipkins on priorities as Police Minister | Q+A 2022
I note when he is speaking he has rather a fixed stare and hardly blinks. Is he reading a screen prompt? Or just indoctrinated with his spiel?
There is a section around 13-14 minutes that is about being ‘soft on crime’. Chris Hipkins doesn’t agree they have been soft on crime.
This is hardly surprising as otherwise he would have to say that the government has got away with blue murder, literally murdering people with the poisonous vaccines.
Or being soft on the police who have abused their powers.
Here’s a discussion.
August 30, 2021 Are police stretching their legal Covid-combatting powers?
By Andrew Geddis
It says
I accept that it may appear churlish to question the police’s lockdown enforcement actions when we’re balancing on the edge of a delta disaster that could see our freedoms radically restricted for weeks, or even months. Especially when the police are having to deal with people seemingly determined to ignore the lockdown rules – Covidiots demanding the right for others to die; mountain bikers believing they are bulletproof; supermarket shoppers who can’t abide a mask – on top of their regular law enforcement duties. Surely, if ever there was a time to cut them some slack, it is now?
Note the excessive, inflammatory language. The Covidiots were those demanding people make themselves sick with mask wearing, social isolating and poisonous vaccines.
However at least at the end he says
Well, maybe. However, the other side to that coin is that it is precisely when power is being exercised in emergency situations that we need to be most alive to its potential overreach. Because, “we’re doing this for everyone’s good” can be a very seductive rationale. And behaviour in emergency times can become a template for practices when life returns to normal. Which means we need to trust the police to ensure that our lockdown rules are collectively followed, but also not be afraid to point out when they appear to be doing otherwise.
But the police could not be trusted could they? Most of them were as dumb as a box of rocks believing the government line, ‘We are the truth’.
Back to the YouTube interview, at 15-16 minutes re primary role of police is to prevent crime. That didn’t work out well did it Chris? The police didn’t stop the government and health service injecting poisons into people.
They failed dismally like you.
Still he does say under crime statistics, around 17-19 minutes, that the crime problems (which have gone up sharply under Labour) were years in the making.
So true, and due to people abandoning the truth about God and His righteous laws. People abandoned these common sense laws and so here we are today in a right old mess.
Anyway, Chris replaced this chap as Health Minister.
Health Minister David Clark has narrowly avoided being sacked after taking a 20 kilometre trip to a beach amid the coronavirus lockdown.
Clark, in a statement issued early on Tuesday morning, said he had informed the prime minister of his breach of the lockdown and offered his resignation.
He later told the AM Show he felt “like a complete dick” when he realised his mistake.
From
Health Minister David Clark demoted after taking beach trip amid lockdown by Thomas Manch, Apr 07 2020
Well he was a dick as were most New Zealanders who thought COVID 19 was a new deadly disease designed to kill them all. The very fact he was ‘found out’ should have got you all wondering if something was amiss.
Anyway, a dick he was and is. His full name is ‘David Scott Clark’. An anagram of this is ‘lo act star VD dick’ or even ‘adv clot tsar dick’. So be it, he was destined to be a dick.
Apparently he also is a Presbyterian minister and he was the celebrant at the civil union of MP Grant Robertson. God thinks he is a complete dick for doing such a thing.
As to Grant Robertson more on him elsewhere.
First term (2017–2020)
Hipkins was elected as a Cabinet minister by the Labour Party caucus following the formation of a Labour–New Zealand First coalition government supported by the Greens. It was later announced that he would serve as minister for education.
By the way ‘coalition’ has a one word whole anagram, ‘coitional’. This has to do with coitus, sexual intercourse.
And as a female one cannot go into labour without sexual intercourse in the first place (artificial insemination and test tube babies notwithstanding).
Of course having ones ‘greens’ is said to be good for you. I hope you see the connections!
As education minister, Hipkins has supported the abolition of National Standards and charter schools in New Zealand, which were supported by the previous National Government. He has also signaled a review of the National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA) high school certificate system.
However, Hipkins has clarified that the Ministry of Education would continue to fund the University of Otago’s National Monitoring Study of Student Achievement and the Progress and Consistency Tool (PaCT). The Government’s announcement that it would close charter schools drew criticism from the opposition National and ACT parties.
In early 2018, Hipkins introduced legislation preventing the creation of new charter schools, while enabling existing charter schools to be converted into special character schools.
By September 2018, all twelve charter schools had successfully transitioned to become state-integrated and special character schools.
Transitioning is the name of the game nowadays. Schools can change their agenda. This is known as Trans agenda.
And like transgender operations it causes a lot of angst.
But easier to bolt back on the bits removed to a school than a human being.
As the saying goes, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Whether charter schools were a good idea you can comment below.
In December 2018, Hipkins rejected a recommendation by the Council of Victoria University of Wellington to rename the university “University of Wellington”, citing the strong opposition to the name change from staff, students, and alumni. Hipkins said that “he was not convinced the university had sufficiently engaged with stakeholders, who should have their views considered.”
Nice of Chris to consider stakeholders views. Pity the government didn’t do that when it introduced the COVID 19 pandemic measures.
Still, people wouldn’t have realised they were slowly being poisoned by big pharma etc. Gave many of us the chance to jump ship.
On 1 August 2019, Hipkins reaffirmed the Government’s plan to merge all polytechnics into a single entity in April 2020. In addition, he announced that the Government would replace all 11 industrial training organisations (ITOs) with between four and seven workforce development councils that would be set up by 2022 to influence vocational education and training.
While polytechnics have been cautiously optimistic about the changes despite concerns about losing their autonomy, ITOs and National’s tertiary education spokesperson Shane Reti have opposed these changes, claiming they would damage the vocational training system and cause job losses.
By 2022, the merger began to strike difficulties including low enrolments, large deficits and resignations of senior staff.
So that worked well – not!
Second term (2020–2023)
In early November 2020, Hipkins retained his education portfolio. He was also designated as minister for COVID-19 response and minister for the Public Service.
As Minister of COVID-19 response, Hipkins instituted the wearing of face masks on public transportation and domestic flights in November 2020, pre-departure test requirements for overseas travellers in January 2021, border restrictions for high risk countries in April 2021, and alert level restrictions following the August 2021 outbreak in Auckland.
The outbreak no doubt caused by the vaccines. Poisoning people does that you know. The statistics are interesting.
https://www.newsroom.co.nz/charting-new-zealands-vaccine-rollout
There is this comment by a John Trezise 23rd September 2021. He is a Covidiot. I wonder if he is still alive.
Possibly not.
https://deaths.press.co.nz/nz/obituaries/the-press-nz/name/john-trezise-obituary?id=41945754
In addition, Hipkins oversaw the launch of the Government’s “My Vaccine Pass” vaccine certificate in November 2021, the national vaccination rollout, and the passage of the COVID-19 Response (Vaccinations) Legislation Act 2021, which provided the legal framework for the Government’s vaccine mandate.
All of which should see him hung on a lamppost at least as punishment for legalising poisoning people. I cannot find a list of who voted for the bill, but National and Act parties were against it.
On 22 August 2021, Hipkins made a comment that attracted controversy and humour when he misspoke during a press conference; encouraging New Zealanders to get tested for COVID-19, he inadvertently urged New Zealanders to socially distance when they go outside to “spread their legs”. Commentators suggested that he meant to say “stretch your legs.”
I think “spread their legs” is the correct term. This is what the police do when they find someone not wearing a mask or standing too close to a lamppost which has been touched by an infected politician.
I suggest someone spread Chris Hipkins legs when he is arrested. He should then be kicked very hard. Where he is kicked I leave to people’s discretion.
In mid-January 2022, Hipkins, in his capacity as minister for COVID-19 response, postponed the next MIQ lottery due to a tenfold increase in imported Omicron cases entering New Zealand.
Don’t forget Omicron is an anagram of moronic, so it was moronic cases entering New Zealand.
Although to be honest I believe most New Zealanders were suffering the disease. How many have woken up is not clear to me.
Note the footnote article Guardian link says
Hipkins said New Zealand would use the time that the border stayed closed to increase vaccination. “Our focus will be on getting booster rates up and immunising as many five to 11-year-olds as possible before Omicron takes hold in the community.”
I suggest kicking him again when his legs have been spread. When you do so think of the children who were injected and harmed.
The Government’s decision was criticised by Grounded Kiwis member and Australian–based expatriate Maxine Strydom who stated that many New Zealand expatriates were facing emotional and metal stress due to travel restrictions, expiring visas and job losses.
According to Wikipedia expatriates were facing ‘metal’ stress. This may be the same stress as suffered by the planes carrying Chris Hipkins overseas – see later.
Meanwhile, health economist Professor Paula Lorgelly rationalised the postponement of the MIQ lottery as “a short-term pain for what I perceive to be quite a long-term gain.”
Rationalised??? No Paula, you are a moron. COVID 19 was and is the ‘flu and you were had. It is the usual problem, an academic who has not worked in the real world.
I think she is suffering from a disease. ‘lo paella lurgy’ is an anagram of her name. What a paella lurgy is will require further research but it sounds nasty.
On 31 January 2022, Hipkins, in his capacity as minister for COVID-19 response, issued a statement that the Government had offered stranded New Zealand journalist Charlotte Bellis a place under the emergency allocation criteria to travel to New Zealand within a period of 14 days.
However, he also claimed that Bellis had indicated that she did not intend to travel until late February and that MIQ had advised her to consider moving her travel plans forward. He also confirmed that New Zealand consular assistance had earlier twice offered to help her return from Afghanistan in December 2021. Bellis was an Al Jazeera journalist who, after becoming pregnant, had left Qatar owing to the Gulf state’s law criminalising unmarried pregnancies.
Bellis had travelled to Afghanistan where she and her partner had visas allowing them to live there. Due to New Zealand’s strict pandemic border policies, Bellis had struggled to secure a place in the Managed Isolation and Quarantine (MIQ) system.
More like Mangled Isolation and Quarantine (MIQ) system.
Hipkins was criticised by Bellis’ lawyer Tudor Clee for allegedly breaching her client’s privacy by sharing personal details about her circumstances and indicated that she was considering “legal options.” In response, Bellis stated that she did not give Hipkins consent to share her information and disputed the facts in his statement. MPs Chris Bishop and David Seymour, from National and ACT respectively, also criticised Hipkins’ actions, stating that they were “unbecoming” of a minister of the Crown.
On 22 June 2022, Hipkins publicly apologised for releasing personal information without Bellis’ consent and making inaccurate comments about Bellis travelling to Afghanistan and being offered consular assistance. As a result, Bellis and her partner Jim Huylebroek received online abuse. Hipkins had earlier privately apologised to Bellis in mid-March 2022.
What a complete Bellis (sic) up.
Throughout 2022, Hipkins, as minister of COVID-19 response, oversaw the easing of several COVID-19 mitigation policies including the isolation requirements for positive cases and contacts, vaccination and vaccine pass requirements for school-age children, MIQ isolation hotels, the COVID-19 Protection Framework, and border isolation requirements.
Ease it up gently so as to not wake up the masses that it might have been a mistake after all (spoiler alert: it was).
In early May 2022, Hipkins acknowledged that the New Zealand Government was spending NZ$10 million a month paying COVID-19 contact tracers despite phasing out contact tracing several months earlier. He stated that the contact tracers were supporting people with COVID-19 in the community. In response, ACT leader Seymour criticised the Government’s decision to continuing funding contact tracing services as a waste of taxpayer money.
Well it was always a waste of money, that’s the whole point. Since when have politicians not wasted taxpayers’ money.
In a June 2022 reshuffle, Hipkins was shifted from his COVID-19 response portfolio and replaced Poto Williams as minister of police.
So as to cover his backside for his draconian handling of the ‘flu, a.k.a. COVID 19.
In mid-October 2022, Hipkins, acting on behalf of COVID-19 response minister Verrall, announced that the Government would scrap several of the COVID-19 Public Health Response Act 2020’s provisions including lockdown and MIQ restrictions, border closures, vaccine passes and mandates.
The Government however opted to retain the Act’s provisions for seven-day isolation periods, mask use and border entry requirements until Parliament passed general pandemic legislation.
There is a foot note link. It says
“When Covid arrived we had limited legislative tools to respond and new ones had to be created. It is critical that a legacy of this pandemic is a fit for purpose piece of pandemic legislation like we have for civil defence and natural disasters,” Hipkins said.
From
https://www.newsroom.co.nz/seven-day-isolation-to-stay-as-ardern-seeks-balanced-response
‘limited legislative tools’ are more commonly known as politicians.
It also says
The move is part of the Government’s pivot to a response to the virus that can be maintained over the long term, balancing health and business needs.
For which read if you being ill is good for big pharma then it is all for the greater good – of big pharma etc. If you should be maimed or die, well, you are just collateral damage.
Unless you stand up and fight this nonsense.
Hipkins also announced that the Government had revoked the Epidemic Notice, signalling a shift from emergency management to long-term management of COVID-19.
Which will justify wasting more taxpayers’ money.
That same day, Hipkins confirmed that the Government would hold a Royal Commission of Inquiry into its COVID-19 responses.
To white wash the incompetence and corruption of the Labour government etc.
Prime Minister (2023–present)
Nomination and appointment
Jacinda Ardern unexpectedly announced her resignation as leader of the Labour Party in a media conference on 19 January 2023, stating that she “no longer had enough in the tank” to do the job.
And thought she had getter get out before her ratings sank even lower. Anyway, Prince William gave her a better offer.
https://people.com/royals/jacinda-ardern-joins-prince-william-earthshot-prize-team/
She said she didn’t have enough in the tank. I suspect her tank being drained was inversely proportional to how much she has in the bank. Like most useless politicians she will have done very well out of tanking New Zealand into economic chaos and debt.
Hipkins was confirmed as the only nominee shortly after nominations closed at 9:00 a.m. on 21 January. Stuff reported that Kiritapu Allan, the East Coast MP and minister of justice who had been speculated by media as an alternative candidate, was one of the seven MPs who nominated him.
To be the scapegoat when everything goes tits up.
Hipkins was sworn in as prime minister by Governor-General Dame Cindy Kiro on 25 January 2023. His deputy prime minister is Carmel Sepuloni, the first Pasifika to hold the position.
Upon taking office, Hipkins addressed the cost of living, saying that New Zealanders will “absolutely see in the coming weeks and months the cost of living is right at the heart of our work program”,…
i.e. myocarditis for the poor…
and declared it his “absolute priority”. He indicated that Labour would postpone some of its new projects until after the election to focus on the economy.
There is a footnote link to a Guardian article.
It says
Quizzed by reporters on what specific policies his government would offer to assist New Zealanders struggling with rising costs, he said he was “not gonna start making announcements only a couple of hours into the job”.
“We will be making haste. But I’m not going to be so hasty as to make things up on the fly,” he said.
In other words he won’t be writing notes on his trouser crotch but on a used envelope like most cowboy builders.
It says re Jacinda Ardern
She made her last public appearance as prime minister earlier on Wednesday, walking out of parliament as hundreds of onlookers broke into a spontaneous round of applause.
It does not say why they were applauding. It is rumoured that they were applauding her decision to leave having trashed the economy by rejecting jobs and injecting jabs.
Politically he has been cited as a centrist.
Centrist anagrams to ‘cretin st ‘. I think that would be a more accurate citation.
Domestic affairs
I’m not sure if he has had any, but he has separated from his wife – see later.
On 26 January, Hipkins met several Auckland business leaders at a roundtable event hosted by the Auckland Business Chamber, led by former National MP Simon Bridges. During the meeting, Hipkins affirmed his Government’s commitment to pursuing a constructive relationship with businesses, citing their importance to the New Zealand economy.
Which is why the Labour government said they should shut down because of the ‘flu, sorry COVID 19.
Hipkins also confirmed that business representatives had given the Government feedback on several policy areas including skills shortages. Hipkins also stated that businesses supported the Government’s apprenticeship boost, which created opportunities for them.
To make more money off the taxpayers.
Hipkins was faced almost immediately with the 2023 Auckland Anniversary Weekend floods. The flash flooding began on 27 January 2023, and saw an entire summer’s worth of rain fall within just a day.
Flash flooding is when a man wearing a raincoat flashes everybody in the neighbourhood. There is a relationship between injections and flashing I believe (let the reader understand).
On 28 January, Hipkins and Minister for Emergency Management Kieran McAnulty visited Auckland to liaise with emergency services, reassure affected constituents, and assess the damage. Hipkins subsequently attended a press conference in West Auckland with MacAnulty, Mayor of Auckland Wayne Brown, and Minister of Transport Michael Wood.
Which is all wonderful. Pity he didn’t do the same over the COVID 19 debacle.
But then he helped cause it so we can’t blame him for that. Or can we?
After Hipkins’ ascension to the role of prime minister and his response to the recent floods, opinion polls saw his personal popularity and that of the Labour Party surge: a 1 News–Kantar poll had Labour up 5 percentage points to 38, with National dropping one percentage point to 37; Hipkins also had a net approval of 36 points, with National Leader Christopher Luxon trailing on 9 points. Another poll conducted by Newshub–Reid Research had Labour up 5.7 points to 38, ahead of National, which fell 4.1 points, dropping to 36.6.
“After Hipkins’ ascension” sounds like he was Jesus Christ.
His popularity surged eh? People soon forget don’t they? Mind you, who trusts polls.
In February 2023, Hipkins announced that several policies including the proposed TVNZ-RNZ merger and that a biofuel mandate requiring petrol and diesel to contain a certain percentage of biofuel from renewable resources would be scrapped.
About time, biofool has been a fuelish mistake. Or vice versa.
Biofuels turn out to be a climate mistake – here’s why
Published: October 5, 2016

But then CO2 is not the issue, pollution is.
As for the media merger there is a Wikipedia entry on the matter.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aotearoa_New_Zealand_Public_Media
It says
In mid-June 2022, Broadcasting Minister Willie Jackson introduced the draft…..bill.
I thought I’d check him out. He is a list candidate MP which means you get him regardless of whether you want him or not if the votes for the party are there. He seems to have been rather outspoken and been criticised for it.
In early April 2023, Radio New Zealand reported that the cancelled public media merger had cost NZ$19.6 million. NZ$12 million of this amount went to contractors and consultants. NZ$2.6 million went to offices and overheads while NZ$3 million went to compensate TVNZ, Radio NZ, and New Zealand On Air.
That’s Labour for you, a complete waste of money.
In addition, Hipkins confirmed that other policies including the social income insurance scheme, proposed hate speech legislation, and the Three Waters reform programme would be delayed or revised.
Hipkins also confirmed that the minimum wage would be raised from NZ$21.20 to NZ$22.70 an hour from 1 April 2023. In response to the recent North Island floods, Hipkins conformed that the Government would invest NZ$3 million in discretionary flood recovery payments, NZ$1 million in supporting flood-affected businesses, and an additional NZ$1 million in mental health support.
‘Hipkins conformed’ did he? Another Wikipedia blooper.
On 13 March, Hipkins announced that the Government would scrap several policies and reform programmes including legislation to lower the voting age to 16 years,
Labour needs to lower the voting age to get more votes for its ‘progressive’ policies.
the speed reduction programme except for the most dangerous 1% of highways, and the NZ$586 million Clean Car Upgrade programme.
In addition, the Government announced that it would delay or revise several policies and programmes including proposed alcohol reforms, the container return scheme, public transportation including the Auckland Light Rail, and public consultation on a new test to determine the difference between contractors and employees.
But they may well spend money on a new PCR test to determine the difference between COVID 19 and the ‘flu (there isn’t any by the way).
The Government would redirect funding to a NZ$2 billion to a welfare package to provide “bread and butter” support to 1.4 million New Zealanders affected by the ongoing “cost of living” crisis.
Having trashed the economy they will now “Build Back (bread and) Butter”.
Which Labour caused with the tacit support of the stupid Kiwis who locked themselves down over the ‘flu.
Ok, not everybody wanted to lock themselves down but most seemed to as they just loved Jacinda.
They will only allow bread and butter. There will be no jam as the masses have plenty already as in ‘How do I pay my bills, I’m in a bit of a jam.’
While the Green and Māori parties criticised the Government for backtracking on climate action policies, the National and ACT parties welcomed the scrapping of “wasteful” Government policies but questioned the Government’s commitment to change.
Change what exactly? Scrapping old cars is not a way to save carbon dioxide emissions but a way to help car manufacturers sell more cars.
On 11 April 2023, Hipkins and Health Minister Verrall announced that the New Zealand Government would retain the few remaining COVID-19 restrictions including the seven-day mandatory isolation period for positive cases and mask wearing requirements at hospitals for at least two months.
Which would have pleased the doctors and nurses etc. no doubt. However, I am sure there were exemptions for the sane if they bother to check.
The 2023 New Zealand Budget, presented on 18 May 2023, was regarded as cementing Hipkins’ dedication to a “no-frills” welfare program to combat cost of living.
Which as I say was instigated by Labour in the first place. Beat the populace with COVID 19, and then make them grateful by spending their taxes for them on hand-outs.
Labour politicians retain their salaries and pensions of course. Other politicians will too which is no doubt why many don’t complain on your behalf.
The budget included many sweeping initiatives to support lower-middle class New Zealanders, including $618.6 million to scrap NZ$5 prescription fees,
Which means that taxpayers in general get to pay for the unhealthy and support big pharma’s poisonous drugs directly.
$1.2 billion to extend 20 free early childhood education hours to include two year olds,
So they can be indoctrinated with LGBTQ+ nonsense early.
$327 million on free public transport for under-13 year olds, and permanent half-price fees for under-25 year olds, and $402 million on expanding the Warmer Kiwi Homes plan.
Although if global warming was a ‘thing’ then this wouldn’t matter so much.
The latter will subsidise heating, insulation, hot water heat pumps, and LED lamps.
So taxpayers can fund the manufacturers
What Wikipedia doesn’t say is on Health and disability. In a footnote link.
$2.6b over two years for cost pressures in the health system and reforms
More than $1b to increase pay rates and boost staff numbers
$864m for the delivery of disability services
$147m over two years for modifying school buildings to support students with special needs, including automatic doors, lifts and bathroom refits
$27.3m to end the Minimum Wage Exemption, which allows disabled people to be paid at rates lower than minimum wage
Permanent half-price fares for Total Mobility services
$20m to lift Covid-19 immunisation and screening coverage for Māori and Pacific people

All this money will be necessary due to Labour’s lockdown and immunization policies which will increase the number of chronically sick and disabled. All good news for the industrial medical complex.
Foreign affairs
On 7 February, Hipkins undertook his first state visit to the Australian capital, Canberra, where he met Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese. While the two leaders reaffirmed Australian–New Zealand bilateral relations, they also discussed the controversial Section 501 deportation policy. During the visit, Albanese confirmed that his government would revise the deportation policy to take into account individuals’ connections to Australia and the length of time they had lived in the country.
Deporting both Hipkins and Albanese to Guantanamo Bay has been considered in some corners, it is rumoured.
During the visit, the two leaders exchanged gifts; with Hipkins gifting Albanese a greenstone pounamu in the shape of a hook and Albanese giving several Australian records including music from Thelma Plum, Gang of Youths and Alex the Astronaut.
Apparently Albanese gave Chris records that Albanese liked. Whether Chris liked them I don’t know. I see that Alex the Astronaut, in reality Alexandra Lynn, has written on her Wikipedia page
Lynn identifies herself as gay. They are not at a definitive spot in their gender identity journey. Lynn uses she/they pronouns. Lynn was diagnosed with autism in May 2021.
Oh dear, ‘they’ pronouns. I wonder if she is another vaccine damaged person.
In early May 2023, Hipkins confirmed that he would attend the coronation of King Charles III on 6 May. He also extended an invitation to Leader of the Opposition Christopher Luxon. Hipkins confirmed that he would meet with Charles III, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, Minister of State for the Armed Forces James Heappey, and New Zealand soldiers stationed in the UK training Ukrainian forces. Prior to his departure for the UK, Hipkins also called Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to reiterate New Zealand’s support for Ukraine.
Chris Luxon also went to the coronation I gather. Whether this will save a visit if he becomes prime minster in the upcoming election is debateable. After all it is very important to limit ones carbon emissions (ahem).
Make plastic masks for an invisible virus (muffled laugh), but limit your carbon emissions that’s the key.
On 19 June, Radio New Zealand reported that Hipkins would lead a large political and business delegation to China in late June 2023 to…
Have a jolly?
…promote diplomatic and trade relations with China. Hipkins also confirmed that he would meet Chinese President Xi Jinping during the state visit. Hipkins’ delegation arrived in Beijing on 26 June where he was greeted by New Zealand Ambassador to China Grahame Morton and Chinese Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Ma Zhaoxu.
On 27 June, Hipkins met with Xi, with the two leaders emphasizing the importance of friendly bilateral relations. The two heads of government discussed Sino-New Zealand bilateral relations, China-United States relations, the Ukraine conflict,
How to keep it going without everybody getting suspicious
Pacific issues,
To keep the peace in the Pacific (but not the Ukraine)
and human rights.
As these are more important than human lefts.
The opposition criticised Hipkins for flying with a second jetliner as backup to as far as the Philippines in case the Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) Boeing 757 he rode were to experience mishap. According to the RNZAF, the precaution is not unusual. Delegations to other destinations in the past have become stranded after their plane broke down.
So just to make sure one reduces carbon emissions have a backup plane, yeah right. So all that money wasted on vaccines etc. and you couldn’t be bothered to buy a few more rubber bands to tie the planes together. Just typical.
On 9 July, Hipkins and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen formally signed the New Zealand-European free trade agreement in Brussels. which awaits ratification by the European Parliament.
There are a lot of rats in the European Parliament.
While farmers and some political groups in the European Parliament are expected to oppose the free trade agreement, European Union Ambassador to New Zealand Nina Obermaier confirmed that the 27 European Union member states had consented to the agreement
Political views
Hipkins is typically regarded as a centrist politician, and an “arch-pragmatist”.
Essentially this means being practical rather than always acting on principle. So, for example, if jabbing the population of New Zealand with a toxic solution means one gets paid for the privilege, then that is practical.
This footnote article is interesting.
It says
According to Hooton, “Chris Hipkins will take Labour back to its old sleeves rolled up, practical Kiwi image”.
I thought he had already done that as Health Minister, “Roll up, roll up, roll up your sleeves and get the jab done!”
A student activist at university, he has labelled himself as increasingly moderate due to deepening political polarisation.
For which read he will fit in to whatever seems to get the most votes and keep him in a well-paid job with pension for interfering in people’s lives.
Hipkins is not a monarchist; ahead of the coronation of Charles III, he announced that he would not be pushing for New Zealand to become a republic during his premiership. During a press conference, Hipkins stated: “Ideally, I think in time, New Zealand will become a fully independent country… I don’t think that swapping out the governor-general for some other form of head of state is necessarily an urgent priority right now, though.”
Though jabbing and masking the population was. He is not a monarchist but some say he is a ‘macron shit’ which is an anagram.
Public image
Hipkins is nicknamed “Chippy”, a diminutive name derived from his initials, but reflective of his “upbeat, slightly schoolboyish demeanour”.
I think that ‘Crappy’ would be better in Chris’s case, a chap who has almost exclusively been a useless politician most of his working life.
He is known for his enjoyment of sausage rolls and Coke Zero. His love for sausage rolls has promoted discussion, with some political commentators claiming it embodies the sharp departure from the soft power New Zealand enjoyed under Ardern (“Jacindamania”).
Soft power is the ability to co-opt rather than coerce according to this link.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soft_power
So New Zealand do think being told to stay 2.0m apart wear masks and get vaccinated or lose your job was soft power? Please add your comments below.
Ben Thomas, a political consultant and former staffer for the National Party, said in 2023 that “for five years we had this funny, beautiful, self-deprecating PM who looks like an actual princess when she goes to meet the Queen … and now we’ve got the sausage roll guy.”
In case you wondered who Ben Thomas is talking about, it is Jacinda Ardern. I’m not sure what planet Ben Thomas is on, I suppose he has been afflicted with Jacindamania. This is him.
I think he does write some sensible stuff, but do you really think that of Jacinda, Ben??
Hipkins has embraced his public perception, and is generally known as humble, affable, and self-depreciating.
Or bumble, laughable and self-defecating to some.
Despite Labour’s intense competition (weasel words for ‘tanking’) in opinion polls with National ahead of the upcoming general election, Hipkins endures as a broadly popular leader. He has consistently placed far ahead of rival Christopher Luxon in preferred Prime Minister rankings, with no National Party leader placing ahead of a Labour Party one since 2017.
Yes, but then the Labour Party only had Her Royal Highness Jacinda as Great and Horrible Honourable Leader since 2017. Everybody loves Jacinda, her warmth and pathetic, sorry, empathetic nature.
Which is why she resigned and went to the USA, she didn’t want to be idolised.
Personal life
Hipkins and his wife Jade were married in 2020 in a ceremony held at Premier House, Wellington, with Grant Robertson serving as best man. He has two children. He and his wife have since separated. When he took extended paternity leave for the birth of his second child in 2018, he was one of the first senior male cabinet ministers to do so.
I gather he and Jade were together for 6 years previously. Their children were both born outside of the marriage. It looks as though they spilt up after only 2 years of marriage. Such things happen so often, it is extremely sad.
I am surprised Grant Robertson was best man. Doesn’t Chris have any other fiends, sorry, friends?
However, I wonder as with others what the children will think when they grow up that their father pushed poisonous vaccines on New Zealanders?
Both of Hipkins’ children have a blood clotting disorder known as Von Willebrand disease. In mid August 2023, he took leave from election campaigning to support his four-year old daughter.
I wonder if his children were vaccinated. Anyway clots obviously run in the family and New Zealand has suffered from Chris.

Miscellaneous
National government debt has increased significantly due to Labours mishandling of the supposed ‘crisis’.
https://www.ceicdata.com/en/indicator/new-zealand/national-government-debt
But national government debt went up hugely since 2008, the time of the banking crisis.
He struggles to define a woman.
It says
This staggeringly simple question left Hipkins lost for words. ‘I… to be honest… That question’s come slightly out of the left field, for me’, he said. After a long pause, he offered the following definition: ‘The biology, sex, gender… people define themselves. People define their own gender.’
When pressed again, Hipkins gave the telling excuse that he had not been expecting the question and so had not had the opportunity to ‘pre-formulate’ an answer.
What on Earth is going on? Why is such a high-ranking politician unable to answer a school-level biology question?
Easy. He’s thick.
Mind you I have some sympathy. Women can very complicated creatures. I am married to one!
Anyway, how about some anagrams of his name.

Summary and final thoughts
So there you have some observations of Chris Hipkins. Somebody who has been in politics almost all his working life like so many politicians. Good at talking but not great on practicalities despite being called an arch pragmatist.
But in his case it is seeing which way the wind blows and going with that regardless of the cost to the nation and society as a whole.
The nation has been poisoned by the jabs and national government debt has rocketed.
His name has suggested his character and the best anagrams might be these:
Soros hitchhiker nip nj ph – he has been doing George Soros’s work whether he realises or not
Shh hi kph prison injector – he kept you in prison (lockdown) to get you to take the vaccines for freedom. But ultimately you chose to lock yourselves down if you did and chose to take the vaccines if you did.
The government does not have the right to impose danger on the citizens it represents. There were those like myself trying to warn about the dangers.
There is always a choice even if it is to resist and take the consequences of fighting for the truth and common sense.
He is right in a way because people caved in and believed the lies. Yes there was intense pressure but people should have supported each other to resist.
Pork pie chin hr Johns shit – well, he may not be into pork pies but sausage rolls are the next best thing.
Hi hr hr John pinko cesspit – self-explanatory.
hr hr john piss in pith coke – he enjoys coke, Coke Zero.
Whether he realises that Coke Zero is not good because of the artificial sweeteners let alone anything else we don’t know, but perhaps his diet has affected his brain.
He born and raised in a Hutt. He lives in a Hutt. He has promoted the jabs.
Therefore we can say he is Jabber the Hutt!!!

As to who will be the 42nd PM well we must wait and see.
42nd …hmm, 42 again, the ultimate answer to the ultimate question. And did you realise Jacinda Ardern stopped being PM at age 42 years old?
He is called Chippy and this reminds me of Mr Chipping in the film ‘Goodbye Mr Chips’
I think it is about time New Zealand said goodbye to Chippy, don’t you?

Confident, optimistic, anxious: New Zealand readers tell us how they feel about Omicron
Moronic is the correct word, a whole lot of moronic readers. Still, it is the ‘Grauniad’.
For reference here is the stupid Traffic Light System. See how it puts the unvaccinated down. Despicable.
you can never account for the stupidity of people who get themselves elected into office. Their own conceit does account for some of it, thinking they are worthy when they so woefully fall short. We in Canada certainly know all about that. Look at what we got, Trudeau. And look at the carnage he has caused and has been re-elected twice, Which also mans you can never explain the stupidity off the electorate. He keeps hiking the carbon tax, he keeps becoming increasing censorous and he keeps becoming a bigger narcissistic meglomaniac that they keep electing him, not me, they. The only solace I take is that fact that the conservatives in the last two elections won the popular vote, meaning more Canadians voted agaisnt Trudeau than for him. But it is the way our electoral ridings are set up that screws things over. If you can;'t win Quebec and Ontario, both heavily Liberal, than you can't win. It is so screwed up and we are so screwed. How much worse can in get that when the PM who has spent most of his political career calling people who disagree with him Nazis, and can't recognize an actual Nazi when he invites one into the Canadian Parliaments an gives him a standing ovation. And he hasn't resaigned and no one has demanded he do. We are so screwed.
