L is for…..Lucifer

I thought it high time I looked at the old adversary and complete the post I started a while back. This is about the serpent of old, now known as Satan. I won’t look at the name Satan which will be for another post, but to make a start by uncovering the essence of Lucifer and who he was.

Isaiah 14:12–17
How you have fallen from heaven, O day star (Lucifer), son of the dawn! You have been cut down to the ground, O destroyer of nations. You said in your heart: “I will ascend to the heavens; I will raise my throne above the stars of God. I will sit on the mount of assembly, in the far reaches of the north. I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.”…
It is the phrase ‘O day star’ that is relevant and I understand translated as ‘Lucifer’ in the Latin and found in the King James Bible.
So what is the meaning of the word ‘Lucifer’?
Lucifer meaning
Let’s start with the phonetics. It sounds like loo-see-fur or loo-see-fir, or Lucy-fur, or Lucy fir.
Now, this may be merely amusing, but in some people’s houses they have a furry loo seat over on their toilet lid! Presumably to sit on. When the lid is lifted, well then just add an ‘h’ to sit (you know where) and then you can ‘sit’ (sic) on the loo!!
And don’t forget, in the beginning at the start of Genesis it says (strictly) ‘a-bey-ra-shit!!!
However, the word Lucifer is Helel. There is just one instance of its use in the Bible in the Old Testament.

Strong’s Concordance

Part of Speech: Noun Masculine
Transliteration: helel
Phonetic Spelling: (hay-lale’)
Definition: a shining one
Simply put it can read He le ‘L’. That is he the (le in French) ‘L’.
Or is you wish He ell, with the ell being a unit of measurement (angels measure things).
‘L’ stands for leg as in ‘angel’, in itself an anagram of ‘an leg’.
Angels stand on legs, and might be considered from a child’s perspective where, with adults around, they see a forest of legs, whom they can be in awe of like mighty angels who will scoop them up in their arms.
Lucifer is the ‘L’ as he is the ‘L’ in the word ‘aleim’ or ‘elohim’ translated ‘God’ in the first verse of Genesis.
This is the Hebrew letter ל, lamed or lamedh.
The thing is that Lucifer was part of the God head, in fact a fourth leg or limb. This is why mankind and animals have 4 limbs, and also why the ancient symbol the swastika has 4 limbs.
But it is said that Satan, once Lucifer, fell from heaven when he became dark and lost the light. So as it were one leg fell off!
As an aside, and bizarre as all this may seem, this is a reason why the Isle of Man in the British Isles has three legs.
One might note the 1966 entry in Strong’s concordance. 1966 was the year that England beat Germany in the World Cup in football. The following year was when the abortion act came in together with the legalisation of homosexual acts over the age of 21 years, the start of the slippery legislative slope to where we are today.
And I noted it was in 1967 when the UK suffered from Foot and Mouth disease after the bills had become enacted.
Going back to Helel the word ‘halal’ is very similar.

Part of Speech: Verb
Transliteration: halal
Phonetic Spelling: (haw-lal’)
Definition: to shine
Note the following:
Strong’s concordance number is 1984, the same as George Orwell’s novel.
Halal is used of halal meat, and is an anagram of Allah.
La Hal is an anagram of halal, and reminds me of Hal the computer on the spaceship in Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A space odyssey. Hal went wrong too and had to be shut down.
Halal also leads to other words such as תִּתְהַלֵּ֣ל tiṯ-hal-lêl meaning ‘shall make its boast’. Where the boast lies, the context, will affect its meaning as it can be ‘in the Lord’ or in oneself.
Again anagramming tiṯ-hal-lêl as ‘tithallel’ one can get ‘lit lethal’, indicating the lethality of boasting.
A tit can be slang in English for ‘idiot’ so in one sense Lucifer became a ‘tit’ when he boasted in himself and fell from heaven.
The Hebrew letter ל
Lamed is the 12th letter of the Hebrew alphabet. If one looks at the script closely the image looks like a lightning bolt, a snake (cobra), and a toilet (a high level cistern type) in profile!!
Also the two ל ל are very like the two flashes on the lapels of the SS soldiers of the Third Reich.
The number 12 is associated with government such as the 12 tribes of Israel but I note gain in Strong’s concordance that the 12th word is ‘abdan’ meaning ‘destruction’. However other words around the 12th word also mean ‘destruction’.
Nevertheless this is interesting.

‘Lamed’ is also related to ‘lame’, as in weakened, usually a weak leg, but also as in lame excuse.
Anagrams of lamed include:

Note in the phonetic Spelling of abdan above it is ‘ab-dawn’. This could be a b, b as in ben, Hebrew for son). In a sense this is light destroying darkness as the sun rises.
Ab-dawn can anagram to ‘bad wan’, wan meaning
Unnaturally pale, as from physical or emotional distress.
Suggestive or indicative of weariness, illness, or unhappiness; melancholy.
Dan, part of the word abdan, means ‘judgement’ or ‘e judged’ so again we have the sense of destruction.
Morning star
Lucifer can be translated ‘Morning Star’. The morning star in the heavens is usually associated with the planet Venus.

Jesus also calls Himself ‘the bright morning star’, in the Greek strictly ‘The star, the bright, the morning’. Revelation 22:16
The thing is that Lucifer fell from his position of light giver and became darkened so Jesus takes his place, having achieved victory over death on the cross, the dead Tree. He is the faithful son.
A morning star is also a weapon, a club with spikes.

It is despite its spikes a blunt weapon and reflects Lucifer’s blunt attacks to beat people down. Not his only tactic of course.

The Morning Star is also a left wing and Marxist paper. Perhaps it is no surprise that it originally founded in 1930 (the year George Soros was born) as the Daily Worker by the Communist Party of Great Britain and renamed the Morning Star in 1966!

There is the sense here of the stars shouting ‘Morning!’ as in waking someone up from their sleep and flinging wide the curtains to let the daylight flood in.

A Lament for the King of Tyre

The word ‘diamond’ is this in Hebrew.

Phonetic Spelling: (yah-hal-ome’)
Definition: (a precious stone) perhaps jasper or onyx
The Hebrew letters are all but one, the א, the aleph, of the word translated as ‘God’ in the Old Testament, that is אֱלֹהִ֑ים – elohim.
Interestingly, ‘yahalom’ anagrams to:
Am a holy
A my halo
In other words something indicating holiness, perfection.
What is also interesting is the atomic structure of diamonds is made of pure carbon and carbon-12 (12C) is the most abundant of the two stable isotopes of carbon, 98.93% of element carbon on Earth according to Wikipedia.
In essence diamonds have been formed from carbon impurities under immense pressure in molten magma beneath the earth’s crust, a lake of fire if you will.
So, in falling from heaven one can see that Lucifer, covered in diamonds and other precious stones of all colours, reverted back to his true nature, black carbon, coal black, jet black carbon.
This is why in Revelation Satan, once Lucifer, is thrown into the lake of fire to revert him back to what he was as it was the place from whence he came.
By implication there is also a link to the Beatles song, ‘Lucy in the sky with diamonds’ although John Lennon said it had nothing to do with LSD, Lysergic acid diethylamide.
Nevertheless, the year it came out on Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band was 1967. I am sure you can make the necessary connections.
Summary and final thoughts
I think that will do for now. I have other thoughts to add but I will do another post to follow up this one.
But this is Lucifer, a shining one, a morning star, who fell from heaven because of his pride to make himself like the Most High. In effect this is to make himself like his Father, God the Father and sit in his place, on His throne.
This is why you will see in history the cases of sons who seek to usurp their fathers and will murder them to get their way.
So Lucifer rebelled and was kicked out, he became black like carbon, the black sheep of the family. He can still pretend to be an angel of light, but his heart, his essence, is black.
And he is mad, quite mad. This is why I call him Loopy Luci. Of course Loopy means mad but sounds like ‘loo pee’ and ‘Luci’ sounds like ‘Loo see’.
So next time you need to go to the toilet you can think about how Lucifer has descended to the sewer.
And that might give you something to aim for (let the reader understand)!
