Why the brain is called ‘brain’
By Baldmichael Theresoluteprotector’sson
As opposed to Brian perhaps! It is an anagram after all. Let’s have a look at anagrams and see what we can find.
Single words:
Brian
It is possible that the name is derived from an Old Celtic word meaning “high” or “noble”. For example, the element bre means “hill”; which could be transferred to mean “eminence” or “exalted one”.

The brain is located at the top of the body so ‘high’ etc. makes sense.
Brina
as a girls’ name is pronounced BREE-nah. It is of Irish, Gaelic and Celtic origin, and the meaning of Brina is “high, noble, exalted”. Short form of names like Sabrina. Also a variant of Brianna. Also an anglicized form of the Jewish name Brayne, from Brayndel (Yiddish) “brown”. See also Breena.

Note Brina is the female version of Brian, albeit a shortened form of Brianna.
Rabin
Rabin is a Hebrew surname. It originates from the Hebrew word rav meaning Rabbi, or from the name of the specific Rabbi Abin.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rabin
In turn Rabbi means ‘master’, hence the brain is the master of the body, the controller.
Phrases:
I barn
A barn is a store and the brain is a store of knowledge.
B-rain
This is a sound phrase as in ‘be reign’, the brain ‘reigns’ over the body, it controls it.
B
-ra-in
Splitting it up thus it becomes ‘be Ra in’, Ra as in the sun god shedding light on the world, so the brain contains the light, the truth.
Other observations:
Bairn
This is the last one word anagram of ‘brain’.
A bairn is Northern England English, Scottish English and Scots term for a child.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bairn
I see no direct relationship to ‘brain’ except inasmuch that the letter ‘b’ is associated with children (think ‘baby’ and ‘Ben’ and ‘Bar’ in Hebrew meaning ‘son of’).
A b-rain can be ‘son of rain’, a son, an offshoot of reign, an authority, a ruler.
That is, a son of God, God who is the ultimate creator and ruler of us all.

There’s a lot we’ve discovered about the brain BM but it's still a bit of a grey area.👍🇦🇺
