Thanks for your British take! I thought the 6 foot

Rule was symbolic of 6 feet under. Kinda of a demonic ritual symbolizing death. Hell 6 feet

I can sneeze 30 feet.

But they like school children obey an arbitrary distance just far enough away to not engage with other students as comment this sucks

It’s not social and

Of course can’t be having the peasants close enough to whisper who in the Sam Hill believes this shit.

Add mask

Add plastic barriers

Bc we are all walking biohazards

Best keep our “ Social Distance”

Right lol 😂

Well said. The '6 foot under' is right. Symbol of death, brain death in this case!

I have to say that as I was (and am) struggling with my health I initially was rather wary. This is in part due my balance being affected (deaf left ear). I could see myself lurching into somebody and they would go 'Arrrrgh, get off!'

It didn't take long though for me to decide to walk straight on and let people throw themselves into the road if they wished.

Hello! Thank you for directing me here from Eugyppius' site.

The virus hysteria here in the USA was our most disgraceful episode in living memory, perhaps even of all time.

Suddenly, a massive chunk of the populace started operating on an intellectual level about as primitive as that of a cargo cult.

And the people with the most formal education in general became the dumbest, most vicious, and most counterproductive.

The scars here are very fresh. The whole sorry episode was so traumatic that the potential for social, economic and political volatility remains, I think, very high.

Very true, which is why I ridicule it, to ease some of the pain and release the tensions. I say that April Fool's Day 2020 the world went increasingly stark raving bonkers. The April Fools occur each day and so many keep falling for them, it is unbelievable.

One blinks sometimes at the things one has seen and I want to pinch myself and say 'Did I really see that??'

Me, too.

On a pleasant summer day I might be enjoying myself and feeling good about the world.

But there is a little reminder that goes off in my brain: Wait a second, you recently lived through an episode of mass hysteria and craven "leadership" worthy of an outlandish science fiction movie.

But it happened. So much was revealed about assumptions that were faulty: Just under the surface of things in the West is the population of a lunatic asylum ready to be let loose.

I'm also from Minneapolis so in the spring of 2020 amidst insane levels of virus hysteria and insane and sadistic policies imposed by petty tyrants at all levels of government, I was "treated" to the sight of my home town being burned down by domestic terrorists as Leftist politicians cheered them on.

I won't trust officialdom or even most of my neighbors ever again.

Re your home town being burned down by domestic terrorists as Leftist politicians cheered them on. Have the leftist politicians bought out the burnt premises as rock bottom prices? Or just their funders?

I don't live there anymore, so I'm not exactly sure. Probably what, if anything, has cropped up to take the place of the buildings that the domestic terrorists burned down are offices of "NGO's" that get government funding. This really isn't very desirable real estate, especially now. Wealth won't be generated there again for a long time, if ever.

Wow. Lot of that sounded like a Monty Python skit. No offense to the Brits.

Thank you.

No offense taken and quite frankly you could be as rude as you wished. I am big enough and ugly enough to cope! I might be rude back but that's always a risk!!

Monty Python is wonderful stuff and I use it sporadically. The whole COVID 19 has been so ridiculous that only ridiculing the foolishness will do.
