Dim and dimmer - why UK scientists are trying to dim the Sun
By Baldmichael Theresoluteprotector’sson

This is not the newspaper as that has been dim for a long time, but the great light in the sky that lightens our darkness and brings heat and life.
There are reports that
The UK government looks set to approve controversial geoengineering experiments that include efforts to dim the Sun.
From The Week
It continues
Aria (Advanced Research and Invention Agency), the government body that funds technology projects, has set aside £50 million for the task, and specific, small-scale trials will be announced within a few weeks, said The Telegraph.
The Week article continues by saying
As the effects of global warming continue to intensify, "so has interest in some sort of back-up plan", said The New York Times.
A cunning plan no doubt like Baldrick’s in Blackadder. His plans never worked out well.
That's why some scientists are doubling down on geoengineering projects – climate intervention tactics that range from "sucking carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere (I think they meant sucking the money out of taxpayers)" to brightening clouds.
So that’s a bit confusing. They want to brighten the clouds and dim the sun.
There is then a subheading ‘Treating the symptoms’. So like doctors they treat the manifestations rather than the actual cause.
Anyway they want to try and reflect sunlight back to space which will probably annoy any passing Martian spaceships. If something crashes into the earth you will know whom to blame.
The article says
As ships cross oceans, their exhaust brightens the clouds above them, so sunlight reflects more effectively, said The New York Times.
So let me get this straight, the pollution from ships (which contains CO2 which allegedly causes global warming) will brighten the clouds which will reduce global warming??? The article carries on
That cloud brightening offset "about 5 percent of climate warming from greenhouse gases". But "ironically", as stricter regulations have reduced ship pollution in recent years, that cloud brightening and greenhouse gas offset is fading away.
So I did get it straight. I gather
Some scientists hope they can replicate the effect – with sea salt, rather than pollution.
Which no doubt can put in the atmosphere by aeroplanes producing CO2.
Or old aircraft carriers. Looks like the USA has been at it already.
A Secretive Experiment Released Salt Crystals Over San Francisco Bay—Could It Help Curb Warming?
April 10, 2024
It says
Earlier this month, scientists from the University of Washington gathered in semi-clandestine fashion on the deck of a decommissioned aircraft carrier in San Francisco Bay.
Leading an experiment that was intentionally kept under the radar to minimize public backlash, the team started up a high-powered spraying machine and shot microscopic salt aerosol particles hundreds of feet into the morning air.
So the scientists didn’t bother to inform people in advance. That’s nice. Normally people get to know if they plan to install a fountain. I gather the one in Geneva, the Jet d’eau, gets to a height of about 300 feet (30m).

Apparently the Swiss authorities, ever sticklers for health, shut it off during COVID 19 just in case. I wonder if the scientists from the University of Washington considered that obvious risk (only kidding). They clearly don’t understand the risk here. The Smithsonian magazine continues
Scientists don’t completely understand some of the possible consequences of launching large amounts of salt aerosols into the atmosphere. For instance, the practice could change ocean circulation patterns or drive unexpected weather—which could, in turn, impact fisheries or farms, writes E&E News’ Corbin Hiar.
It seems that the US government has undertaken research before. The Smithsonian continues
Though the Biden administration has funded research on marine cloud brightening, per the New York Times, the White House noted to the publication that it did not take part in this particular study: “The U.S. government is not involved in the Solar Radiation Modification (SRM) experiment taking place in Alameda, CA, or anywhere else.”
I see that ‘Solar Radiation Modification’ will anagram to:
- if I do irrational Satanic doom
Sounds about right. By the way, the decommissioned aircraft carrier was the USS Hornet which took part in WW2. The name might be a clue as to the US being stung by cretinous scientists. Continuing
Meanwhile, human-fueled changes
Make that human-fooled changes
to climate and weather patterns continue to break monthly and yearly heat records, affecting communities across the globe. Amid these trends, even the scientists leading the experiment agree that curbing fossil fuel emissions—rather than sending additional particles into the atmosphere—is the best course of action.
Then why are they experimenting like this??
“I hope, and I think all my colleagues hope, that we never use these things, that we never have to,” Sarah Doherty, an atmospheric scientist at the University of Washington and the manager of its Marine Cloud Brightening Program, tells the New York Times.
But in the meantime they have money to burn so why not keep trying to see what happens. Back to The Week article.
Ultimately, "dimming the Sun" through techniques like cloud brightening "would not address the root cause of the climate disease", said Peter Irvine, an earth sciences lecturer at University College London, on The Conversation. But more and more evidence "suggests that it would work surprisingly well at treating the symptoms".
Sounds like COVID 19 mark 2 to me. As to ‘climate disease’, that’s the first time I’ve heard that phrase. It anagrams to lots of interesting things but I like this one especially:
- seed calamities
What you reap you will sow.
The practice of artificially altering the planet's natural systems "sounds ambitious, even arrogant.
No, it sounds idiotic.
Perhaps inevitably it invites concerns about meddling with nature" and it "poses tricky questions" about how, when and where technology should be put to use.
“How, when and where”?? How about ‘whether’ it is done at all. It is not a tricky question though; a bit fat ‘NO’ is the answer.
It involves "tinkering with complex natural systems" that render it "irreversible" – and the proliferation of conspiracy theories and misinformation online are "partly behind moves to ban or restrict solar geoengineering".
Conspiracy theories and misinformation like ‘vaccines harm and kill people’ for example (spoiler alert; they do).
Though solar geoengineering treats some of the symptoms of climate change, it is a "barking mad scheme" that feels like "taking aspirin for cancer", said American scientists Raymond Pierrehumbert and Michael Mann in The Guardian. If we become reliant on the technology, "the world will be left subject to a catastrophic termination shock" if the intervention ever ends.
"barking mad scheme" sums it up nicely, thank you.
The small scale of the trials is "little comfort" either, because "even small-scale trials risk developing the technology somebody else (think Musk, Trump or Putin)
Or Bill Gates
might use for a large-scale deployment". And with a current lack of national or international governance to oversee geoengineering projects, "there is extreme danger" at play.
But I thought the US government under Biden was overseeing such things? Sorry, it was Joe Biden, what was I thinking.
I mentioned Bill ‘Satan’ Gates. It seems he has been ahead of the game.
A Bill Gates Venture Aims To Spray Dust Into The Atmosphere To Block The Sun. What Could Go Wrong?
Jan 11, 2021
It says
Microsoft’s billionaire founder Bill Gates is financially backing the development of sun-dimming technology that would potentially reflect sunlight out of Earth’s atmosphere, triggering a global cooling effect. The Stratospheric Controlled Perturbation Experiment (SCoPEx), launched by Harvard University scientists, aims to examine this solution by spraying non-toxic calcium carbonate (CaCO3) dust into the atmosphere — a sun-reflecting aerosol that may offset the effects of global warming.
At the end it says
Considering the unknown risks attached to solar geoengineering, OECD members should continue in their efforts to develop economically attractive renewable energy technology, even as it supplements such efforts with limited and careful research and experimentation.
So in other words it’s a distraction to justify the other ‘necessary’ technology to transfer large amounts of money into billionaires’ hands. I am sure others will benefit too, just not quite so much money.
At the end of the Week article Sarah Doherty comes up again.
There are potential side effects of geoengineering techniques that still need to be examined, Sarah Doherty, an atmospheric scientist working on cloud brightening at the University of Washington, told The New York Times. Altering ocean circulation patterns could impact fisheries and cloud brightening could change precipitation patterns.
But "it's vital to find out whether and how such technologies could work" just in case society needs them. "And no one can say when the world might reach that point."
Vital to justify Sarah Doherty’s salary and position she means.
And Bill gates could always do with an extra dollar or too.
I see ‘Sarah Doherty’ will anagram to some interesting phrases:
- ah as dr theory
She has this idea
- she a hydrator
The spraying of salt water
- ah or try shade
As the experiment
- oh shady terra
To shade the earth
- ah day shorter
To reduce the daylight
- ah hasty order
But it is premature
- aah destroy hr
As it might lead to destruction
- ah sod yr earth
To which some will say tough
- ah death sorry
But at least she can apologise. To which I can say
- hah soy retard
Summary and final thoughts
There you are. The UK government seems to be following the lead of Bill Gates and the USA so it’s not all our fault.
My original inspiration for the post came from Bob Moran’s substack, that wonderful cartoon artist who has lampooned the establishment figures and evil buffoons of COVID 19 etc.
Whilst Starmer and Miliband may not be directly responsible for the sun nonsense, this says it all about them.
From
In fact ‘Kier Rodney Starmer’ will anagram to:
- yer dim snake terror
And Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, ‘Edward Samuel Miliband’ will anagram to
- Sun dimmer baddie walla
So dim and dimmer it is then.
Of course anybody with an ounce of common sense would say that sun dimming is stupid when we have been plastering the countryside with solar panels which need as much sun as possible.
Not that plastering the countryside with solar panels is a good idea as we need food from the land and they look horrible anyway.
But is has never been about common sense but about asset stripping and destroying what is good. But God is not mocked as it is written in Revelation
“We give thanks to You, O Lord God Almighty, the One who is and who was, because You have taken Your great power and have begun to reign. The nations were enraged, and Your wrath has come. The time has come to judge the dead and to reward Your servants the prophets, as well as the saints and those who fear Your name, both small and great— and to destroy those who destroy the earth.”
So there should be enough there to convince people that even if you think climate change is really a thing where man can interfere to correct it, solar dimming is as helpful as peeing into a gale force wind.
Bear in mind the Jet d’eau is affected by wind. As Wikipedia (or Wiki-peed-here) says
Unsuspecting visitors to the fountain—which can be reached via a stone jetty from the left bank of the lake—may be surprised to find themselves drenched after a slight change in wind direction.

P.P.S. I haven’t covered ARIA in my article but hope to do another post on that.
And here it is.

These people are messing around with things that they will never understand, but they are trying to convince everyone that they do.
They are like kids with hammers trying to tune a car engine that is running perfectly !!!
