Another way to think about Good Friday is that our word Friday came from the German word Freitag, which means “free day.” Good=God, so it is God’s (get out of sin-and-death’s jail) Free Day!

Brilliant, thank you. I might have understood the meaning of Freitag before (I did German for a year at school), but that is very helpful.

We all contribute in our own little way, I suppose, and that is the best way to contribute, I think. Otherwise, we get ahead of ourselves and push things over the edge. At any rate, I wish you a splendid Resurrection Sunday and many great tidings thereafter.

Thank you and you are quite right, every little helps and it is the small things, the seemingly inconsequential, that really make up the bulk of life.

I gather even Confucius said the man who wants to move a mountain must start by moving small stones.
