During the lock downs I began to suffer from megalomania. I went for my daily walk on near deserted streets eerily silent streets. Whenever I would spot someone in the distance they would immediately cross to the opposite side of the street. A few weeks of this, I started to play "tag" with them because they were afraid of me; of course my stature terrified them all 5 feet and 83 lbs. The power was intoxicating, I almost miss that power.

What fun. I rather had the same experince in as much as I thought as I walked along the footpaths 'Make way for the king, make way!' as people flung themsleves into the gutter to avoid me.

I exaggerate though as in our village there aren't that many people around any way. :) Still, the thought was there and it is empowering.

I had a version of this (oh, the shame!) When the signs on the floor read “keep a 6 foot distance”, I always moved in closer. And when the arrows on the floor said “walk this direction only”, I went in the opposite direction! My pronouns are DoNotComply/BeUngovernable!

We had that in our grocery store, and I always walked the opposite direction too. They gave up on that one pretty quickly. I think I had a lot of company in my defiance! I guess they were seeing how much they could get away with.

Well, looks like they’re gearing up for round 2 with the dreaded pink-eye causing Bird Flu! We’ll see how effective their scare tactics are this time or if people actually learned something from last time!

Expand full comment
Helen's avatar

Oh let's hope so! Ugh! Really "Pink-eye causing", I hadn't heard that yet, but granted I do not watch the news, so.... might be missing some all important ramp up on their scare tactics. I know some will still fall for it. Let's hope there are enough of us with our head(s) out of the sand to stand up to them and be "Non-compliant". Power to the People!

Of course, you wouldn’t have heard the truth about the “new” bird flu if you DID watch the news! Last I read, there were a handful of cases in poultry workers, all of which developed pink eye. Again, as far as I’ve been able to ascertain, there has been 1 death. This individual was highly compromised with multiple very serious comorbidities and would clearly have passed with or without H5N1. Nonetheless, hundreds of thousands of poultry have been slaughtered, despite the fact that bird flu has been around for decades. Monkeypox failed to elicit the proper fear response, so on to the next “current thing”!

Destroying our food sources is far more dangerous than the bird flu would ever be. That is what concerns me. Of course, it fits their agenda and isn't about real risk.

We have Long Stupid, so why not Perennial Stupid, the chronic form? I mean, when does the acute phase end? This was obviously a discriminating virus, since the 'antisocial' distance varied according to which country you were in. France, for example, had the Recalcitrant version that refused to travel more than 1 metre! Keeping males and females apart is probably related to the fact that the world population is set to decline later this century, for the first time since the Black Death.

“Males and females should keep 2 m apart” is not really a completely logical explanation. I would go for “persons without clothes should keep the horizontal distance of 2 m from people in dresses or skirts pulled up to the armpits”.

Perfectly logical and in line with the governing logic of that time.

It's funny how many of your colloquialisms are ones that I grew up with.

Par example.

And thank you for pointing me in the direction of Dawn Lester.

Hi, I am in the sunny south, West Sussex. The colloquialisms were used by my father, who is still alive, and he was in the Royal Navy so I suspect it is part of that as much as anything.

Glad you found Dawn Lester, she is doing sterling work.

Making such a rule and ordering its implementation says a lot about those who made it up. In both aspects: the precision of their thinking and how they appreciate our mental capacity.

I’d say we need an alternate Earth to start a new life, very badly.

The science communtiy & the government have unequivocally figured out that the spread of Coronavirus is based solely on two things.

1. The density of the population .

2. How dense the population really is.

Hang on, you are telling me that they don't have a cure for a disease that can be killed with soap?

OK, so apparently my chances of survival is directly reliant upon how much common sense the rest of the world has? You're taking the piss.

To ALL of the dumbarses who bought 20 bottles of soap leaving none of the shelves for others, you do realise that to stop getting the "deadly virus", you need other people washing their hands too.

The government has just announced that if you have had to wear glasses and a mask at the same time because of Covid-19 you may be entitled to condensation.

So, so, many dummies out there BM.👍🇦🇺

So many examples of Long Stupid…one if my favorites is…you MUST wear a mask when walking to your table in a restaurant, but it’s okay to remove it when eating, or in some cases they actually allowed you to ENTIRELY REMOVE YOUR MASK as long as you were seated! Oh, the horror! I guess it was okay, though, since we all know “covid” can’t find you unless you’re standing up!

Right after Mask mandates were lifted here in Canada, I went to get a "take out" meal at a local restaurant. I intentionally wore no mask to do so. Many were still afraid to do this, but I wanted to claim back our rights asap! The server was horrified that I was risking myself (and probably her) by doing so. I looked around and said, "There's people in here with their mouths open, eating. That's got to be worse if there is a risk". She let me have that one and gave me my food. (p.s. I wasn't allowed to "Sit" in the restaurant and eat as I was not j*bbed, but I was okay to walk through, breathing as I do, when others had their mouths gaping open shoving food in. No lack of logic there! ;-))

Great article.

Truly "long stupid" goes back -- way back -- far beyond the last four years.

Long stupid includes the COVID op, of course, but many official stories that are so blatantly stupid, it hurts to think how many people slurp them up without question.

Long stupid includes Sep 11th; the anthrax attacks; HIV as the presumptive "cause" of AIDS; the official story of the JFK assassination, the Boston Marathon bombing, and on and on.

So obvious was the COVID op it hurt. I said at the time -- speaking of stupid -- that it was too stupid to just be stupid. So, that's how you know it's an operation.

I initially thought it was coming out of the financial sector; they needed to cool things down considering what was going on in the repo market, but then the whole "Operation Warp Death" project, overseen by the military, revealed the true extent of this criminal operation being carried out against the world.

Obvious, obvious, obvious.

Very good comment. I think one might say the level of stupidity has been increasingly ramped up over the decades to test the masses. Your 5th para says it nicely; it was too stupid to be just stupid.

I know you are from the states and I don't know what actual rules were formally in place as in written down, but I eventually had the gumption to check up on what the UK government had actually said in writing.

I then realised how utterly stupid it all was (although I had by then understood the scam as of June 2020). I wrote this ridiculing it all. Kinks to my WordPress site where I started.

https://baldmichael.substack.com/p/g-is-forguidance?utm_source=publication-search

I only covered a small part of the guidance. The mind numbing inanity of it all is quite astounding.

I think my all time favourite of LongStupid20 is equivalent to "Who's on First". You'll all be well versed in the Lack-Logic of it! It goes something like this, "You are dangerous to me because you haven't been Vaccinated! You're going to make old people die and it will all be your fault!" "But you've had the Vaccine, yes?" "Yes." "And you believe the Vaccine protects people?" "Of course it does!" "Then you are safe." "No, because you are not vaccinated, so you are putting me at risk!" "But you've had the Vaccine, you said?" "Yes." "Then how can you be at risk?" "Because you could be unknowingly carrying IT and could infect me." "But you are Vaccinated yourself?" "Yes, why do you keep asking me that? Don't you care about me or the old people!?" "Do you think the V protects you from contraction of the Virus?" "Well, yes, of course it does!" "Then how are you at risk?" "Blank stares! Blink, Blink! Why do you hate old people?" It doesn't usually go that well, but in my head this is how it would go next time it comes up. In reality, it doesn't protect you from Viruses, overly licky puppies, Mass Hysteria, Mass Hypnosis, The Great (or not so great) Reset, the corrupt elite, Bill G*tes, the Rockefe!lers, 15 minute cities, the bird flu, chemtrails, the body of things, and definitely NOT LongStupid20 or even Stupid20.
