Excellent! Thank you very much. I don't think I had seen those memes before. I like the shorn sheep especially.

Great post, and great sense of humour!

I cannot look at Big Jack, or "Occasional Cortex", without cringing...

Both, apparently have the same equine dentist/denturist...

Ah yes, "Occasional Cortex" a.k.a. A.O.C. in the States. I saw a meme on (Comrade) Inugo's link in comment above. I assume it is her. I had hoped to a post sometime, but there is so much to do.

"The above link says: Recent polling found the lockdown had support from 84% of the population."

First of all it's the Guardian. Secondly nobody is voluntarily going and getting their boosters. Thirdly we probably had the world's longest protest (outside Parliament) about this nonsense. And attempts to even up the shots between ethnic groups and to get Maori onside failed spectacularly. I don't think that support for lockdowns in 2023 would be anywhere near 80%.

Thanks Richard. As the Grauniad is known for its smelling pisstakes perhaps it was 48%, they got the numbers the wrong way round. It was however 2021 so perhaps that was the case then?

I would hope the masses of the New Zealanders would be more savvy this time although I have noted 1 or 2 on WordPress who still seem to think the sun shines out of her. Where the sun doesn't normally shine that is. :)

There's still far too many who have not yet figured out that they were had. But hopefully there's enough who not only know that they were had but realize to allow it to happen again goes against their interests.

The 30/40yo leftish women seem to be the last to let go. But I don't think anybody in their 20s is fooled.

Some of the men are conspiring willingly so I figure that comes down to clubs and that they havn't worked out that this time is not like the last time or the time before that etc etc.

Yes, it does seem to be the female of the species who fall for it more readily especially those on the left of politics. I have pointed out to others that 'left' is an anagram of 'felt' and it is feelings they rely on, not objective fact/observation.

Nice to see there's still a place for sniggers. In the grand scheme of things it's only a niggardly chink, as Shakespeare might put it, but it's a cleft, a place to hide in a guilded age with the guilds hunting the last of us down. Keep going as long as you can. Broadcasting from Arkansa...[transmission interrupted]

"Dame" Jacinda Ardern, if you don't mind BM🤣 & "her" book about its definition of tripe (I Know This To Be True): On kindness, empathy & strength by Jabcinda Adern.🤮

I think Dam Jacinda Ardern would be more suitable! I wasn't aware about her book, thanks for the heads up. She wrote it (allegedly, perhaps someone wrote it for her) and published in 2020. Most politicians write books AFTER being in politics. From the reviews sounds more like propaganda than reality.

Regarding her Harvard gig, J. Ardern is a Nerd Jar, so the gig is appropriate.

"...Jacinda is female (allegedly)..."

Demonically possessed entity appearing as a human female, that's how I would describe her!

Great article!

Thank you. There are so many ways to describe her and you have added another!

I put her through a male or female software and at 5 she came up as male but at 16 she came up as female. But then I put a trans identified male through it and he came up as female so unfortunately it's not very reliable.
