That is one of the things that really irked me - People who believed they were entitled to influence other people about something that they had absolutely no training or in-depth knowledge of. Turns out no one could have have actual training or in-depth knowledge, at that. But celebrities, minor and major, telling me to get jabbed or how to vote? FFS. The hubris, and in the case of the jabs, injurious.
He's saying there was no data to support the idea the vx was going to be harmful? Maybe he was referring to pHarma studies. Of course they were going to be positive.
But once the gov't response got underway it became increasingly obvious they (the gov't) were doing things that increased harm from the situation, rather than decreasing it. That's on top of the fact they were doing things that were illegal, immoral, and, in a word, sneaky. That's data, in a way, even if it's not numbers. He's a case study in cognitive dissonance.
i wish him the very very best, but he has taken being a sore loser into a totally new realm. Since all the available data was sketchy, invalid, deliberately fucked up, etc. - he chose to be jabbed with insufficient evidence and invalid conclusions. And it would behoove everybody to remember that one can always zip into CVS or Publix to get jabbed - but one can never ever ever be un-jabbed once the jab is taken.
My refusing the jab was based on non-medical red flags. There were a LOT of them. And I was right. That's just the way it goes. everybody processes information differently.
All information transfer between humans is incomplete and inaccurate, with the possible exception of mathematics. Consensus is a function of herd behaviour and need not reflect any exceptional logical conclusions; however, being outside of the prevailing consensus is no guarantee of superior understanding. I, and perhaps others, are a bundle of limited understanding, biases, fantasies and lazy self serving efforts.
The problem, as I see it, is the inability to see the limitation of our internal mapping of the external world, and, insisting that others need to adopting our conclusions, if not, they are just plain inferior. It is even worse, if people don't care, that, there are legitimate differences, and, through power attempt to take choice from others.
I decided "nope" early on, and never pressed anyone to see things as I did. I just listed my reasons and let it go at that. I have never been drawn to consensus or herd behavior. And yes, I am "a bundle of limited understanding, biases, fantasies and lazy self serving efforts". sometimes things turn out well, sometimes not. At 79, i believe more things turned out well.
Concerning mathematics, I had a friend who was a professor of mathematics at the local state university, and I said, after listening to some conversations, that it seemed to me that at his level, some folks sort of hypothesized things and then everybody spent the next year trying to prove or disprove. He laughed and said yes, not much of higher math is written in stone. And then we drank some more beer.
I am happy for your perspective that more things turned out well, I have not kept track of my record. I speculate that I am not much different than the majority of others. Even though we made very similar decisions during "covid", I am reasonably sure, our process towards those decisions was quite different.
As to mathematics, I am referring to the axiomatic approach where two individuals can agree on an set of axioms then any theorem resulting form these can be mapped from one to the other (assuming the proof is within the grasp of both parties) with little to no ambiguity. I am also not saying that mathematics is complete or all postulates within this framework is falsifiable. The key, I think, is your statement of trying to prove or disprove. This is in stark contrast to most verbal communication based on non-mathematical languages. However, I am not saying, that, the partial mappings are not useful. I am just saying in those situations more caution and more internal reflection is a good idea. The intersection of many different expositions about the subject might be a good place to start ones own understanding.
Finally, as you say, it might be best to follow this up with a good round of beer.
Interesting turn of events happened: A vaccinated friend of mine, who watched Scott Adams videos, sent me an email yesterday; "I got diagnosed with prostate cancer in November and had my prostate removed on May 17th, and low level cancer was found in my bladder too." He's going through hell. He's only 59 years old. I tried to warn him. He said he has to learn how to piss again and has to wear a diaper.

Scott Adams still doesn't seem prepared to take any personal responsibility (in which a mishap's always someone else's fault), thus still not acknowledging the 'anti-vaxxers' might have been right all along. the quote from Hosea 4:6 was handed to me a long while ago by a Jewish friend, one of many who is totally not happy about the deadly grip of zionism over judeaism (HT Medea Benjamin).
I agree with you on the data. I thank you for compiling Scott's tweets. I watch lots of movies so I was prepped but an audacious blatant worldwide scam during my lifetime blindsided me. I just laid low until everything blew over and the lockdowns were lifted. I watched Lethal Injection decades ago so I was already wary of the mRNA business. I also knew what the Magisterium decreed long ago before they U-turned. Anytime the Pope becomes a brand ambassador for Pfizer raises red flags. Mass formation. Dunning-Kruger Effect. MKUltra. 1984 - it pays to read the classics. The other worldwide scam being a walking dead Zombie in the White House. Nothing shocks me anymore unless The Entity pulls off its rubber mask to reveal - - - Kamala Harris. 2 + 2 = 5. "Our lives are not defined by any one action. Our lives are the sum of our choices." ....... Luther Stickell
I like it where he said that the vaccine had set him free.
He was an influencer and that's where he is culpable. He didn't just quietly make his own decision, he broadcast it as some sort of wisdom.
Wish he would do a few Dilbert cartoons on the matter.

Yeah, I had it worked. No jabs for Me. It looks like He was trying to walk the line between supporting His masters and admitting He erred.

Oh dear, what can one say. I hope he realises his mistake, he might warn others.
I think it goes back to a root cause of pride and arrogance.
Most people don’t like to admit when they are wrong. Instead they make excuses for their actions !!!
