Nailed it BM, someone got square with A.J Cronin 191 episodes of Dr.Finlays Casebook (122 are missing). This just about sums it up; A doctor accidentally prescribes his patient a laxative instead of cough syrup. Three days later the patient comes for a check-up and the doctor asks, “Well? Are you still coughing?” The patient replies, “No, I’m afraid to.”

I suppose that proves laxative cures coughing! That is big pharma logic

there's a pair of doctors in my immediate family and they've become impossible to talk to :-(( however, on a cheerier note, Doctor Doctor, gimme the news.... this guy understood (Robert Palmer, "Bad Case Of Loving You/Doctor, Doctor") - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DlPHmYtqSdA

I loved reading A J Cronin when I was young, never knew all that about him, so thanks. I didn't know he wrote for Dr Findlay's Casebook! We never got that in the US, sadly. I loved A J Cronin because my mother, who recently passed away at the age of 98, introduced me to him when I was only around 12 years of age. My grandfather was a health nut and would not allow his daughters to have any vaccinations, he believed wholly in the teachings of Dr Carlton Fredericks, the leading light of health and nutrition in the 20s and 30s. So my mother was never ill, never hospitalised except to have babies. Until, living in Florida in her 70s, her doctor started her on flu shots. She had advanced dementia by the time she was 85. The fact that she continued to live for another 13 years attests to her physical strength, having been a Land Army Girl as well. My Dad was an American 82nd Airborne paratrooper stationed in England during the war, my mother only 17 years of age. My brothers and I were born in New York but I started visiting England when I was only 10 and fell in love with it. So, here I have been for most of my adult life. My husband is a Rife frequency healer and I am a Common Law advocate. My elder son is a senior doctor, he has not spoken to me in 4 years because I refused to take the Covid jab and voted for Donald Trump, two egregious crimes that cannot be forgiven. As I watch the dismantling of the corrupt "health" system known as the NHS, I look with gratitude for the new system that will replace it. A system based on the goodness of the Creator of All Things, a love for humanity and a way of functioning based on the commands of Jesus. There are many good people out there, steeped in knowledge of healing and disease prevention and they will, finally, have the opportunity to be known, without fear and abuse.

Amen and thank you. All very fascinating. I have studied WW2 history and have looked at the 82nd Airborne's roles, espcially in Normandy and in Operation Market Garden. My paternal grandfather was in the 8th Army in Italy.

Very good point about the doctor before the name. Narrative is so important because we summon what we speak and in putting doctor before one's name, it means those who cite it are putting themselves in an inferior position. To go forward we need to see each other as peers, equals, sovereigns. That is a whole new ball game and is going to take some new conventions. We don't see any models of sovereignty, we are all hideously enslaved and have been for eons. We've been dumbed down to the point of retardation. But we can pick up and even catapult forward. It takes new thinking like Buckminster Fuller said, (paraphrasing) - don't fight the old systems, just build the new and the old will wither naturally.

Very well put Denise. I have hated titles for a long time, since my early twenties, Mr, Mrs, Miss and Ms are my limit. The French have it right I think with Monsieur and Madame when being formal to those one doesn't know.

Regarding not trusting doctors, I recently had to be seen by my orthopedic doctor. I had not seen him in years and told him, "I trust you, but since covid I don't trust many doctors." He replied. "Nor should you."

Excellent excellent excellent. And I do like listening to Dr. Finlay stories; the old British Brainwashing Corp ones. https://archive.org/details/dr-finlay

I've been looking at some of the germ theory fraud brainwashing that has gone on over the years. The earliest reference I've found is Rawhide S2E? Incident at Red River Station (1960). Very interesting. Specifically about vaccination.

Thank you very much. That link to Dr. Finlay is very useful and I shall look at the Rawhide one later. I can imagine the scenario though, merely repeating the supposed benefits of vaccination by association with the good guys.

You don't need to watch it (Rawhide). That's exactly right.

I have looked anyway, a skim through to find the blatant propaganda bits. Appalling. The doctor made up a home made batch for vaccination!

In the UK we have cowboy builders who do shoddy work.

In the USA they just have cowboys who get vaccinated. Hmm....

Pure propaganda. But that was one of the purposes of shows like Rawhide. Aimed at the WWII generation men. It would be interesting to find the backstory. Who wrote it. Who advertised during that episode etc...maybe one day.

Yes, I forget the war was only 15 years past in 1960. Here's a start if you are interested.

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0683009/

Writers

Charles Larson & Charles Marquis Warren

There is this quote of the lead actor at the start of the film.

“Gil Favor: Most cowherds picture the Lord as a pretty serious old gentleman. But I forgive any power that creates the cow, got to have a strong sense of humour. Nothing uglier, more contrary, or more stupid ever drew breath. Unless it's the men who push her. I know, I'm one of the men that pushes her. I'm Gil Favor, trail boss.”

He therefore indicates that he is stupid. This would apply to vaccination. Perhaps the film is not quite so vaccine friendly if one thinks about it.
